Mx Sage Lovell is a queer nonbinary femme artist, educator, and writer. They attended Gallaudet University where their experiences made them realize that Deaf Accessibility was twenty years behind in Canada. They returned to their roots and focused on advocacy which led them into creating art as political statements. Since then, they’ve been working closely with various communities, developing meaningful work that continues to evolve; incorporating media, language, theatre, and accessibility into art. These multitudes of experiences led Sage to establish Deaf Spectrum, where the focus is on promoting the accessible usage of American Sign Language (ASL).
